Okay people, it's that time again! Q & A Round 3 is right around the corner and I need questions to pick from to submit to Hasbro! So, put on your thinking caps and let's get some good questions!
Deadline is July 5th for submission so I need the questions at least 2 days prior to compare with other sites so we don't have a ton of duplicates. Okay guys/gals, here's the answers! Sorry they are a day late but I'm away from home. 1. While you have done a great job in addressing some fan concerns regarding the products, there are still two aspects that we’d like to bring to your attention: a.) Most of the figures still have very rubbery and soft hands, making it problematic for them to hold weapons properly. Any chance we get hands made from sturdier plastic in the future? b.) On most of the vehicles, the labels (stickers) don’t stick to certain parts of the vehicle; usually the missiles, roll bars, or any part that has a different type of plastic than the main vehicle body. Some of use have used thinner or rubbing alcohol to remove oil or wax from the plastic, some of us have tried scraping the surface to rough it up, but the labels still don’t stick. What exactly causes this, and what can be done to get the labels to stay on? a.) The design and engineering teams are always trying to find the right balance between a soft plastic that allows fans to flex and hold weapons and a harder plastic that has less flex and will not hold all weapons. We are aware of this issue from fans and working to improve it. b.) You are correct, ususually the rollbars and missiles are made out of a different harder plastic that will withstand play and not bend. The downside of this harder plastic (called PP) is that labels do not stick well. The team is looking at this....but has been wrestling with this issue for some time. 2. We have received a tremendous amount of figures from the 1st 5 years of GI Joe. 1986 is the only year we're still missing a sizeable amount of characters from. Any chance of us getting Lowlight, Dialtone(the original male version), Sci-Fi, Zandar, Zarana or any others in the near future? As we move forward, we will continue to try and find ways to bring classic characters into the new line. Both Dialtone and Lowlight are being considered for future releases in exclusives. 3. Why aren't there any polls for GI Joe Fan Favorites? Who decides what charactors get made into figures? Now that the new GI Joe site has launched, we will look at putting up polls again. The design team and marketing team, both fans of the 80's, work together to find the right mix of new, classic, and movie characters to put in the line. -------------------- Airborne Leads The Way!

The upcoming GIJoe 7 pack features Spc Airborne who by all accounts not on the filecard is the classic Ripcord fans have been asking for. Is it possible that we might see this approach used on another movie character, such as Cover-Girl? Might you create a new or use an already established identity but release the figure that resembles the classic Cover Girl as not to confuse shoppers? (and possibly package her with a remolded Wolverine?)

My biggest question is if we are going to see the seven pack figures re-released at a later date in connection to the movie line.

My biggest question is if we are going to see the seven pack figures re-released at a later date in connection to the movie line. I can answer this one right now! YES! http://www.theterrordrome.com/forums/viewt...=136&t=3527 We are getting an Alley Viper with the Rage. It would be awesome if it has the same paint apps as the 1997 one. A blue camo Night Creeper comes in a 2 pack. Strato Viper comes with the movie Night Raven. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the others show up too. How long will the movie line last? -------------------- |

You get the same figure in the Outback/"Air Viper Commando" vehicle set. -------------------- Airborne Leads The Way!

I get two without having to buy two of the same 7 packs I only want 1 of. I also think it's cool they give the troop builder the same color scheme but give us both the original and Night force Outbacks. -------------------- ![]() |

I agree with this question but could we also include Dialtone? 1- Is Hasbro aware of some of the figures that have come out with the Wave 5 vehicle assortment have hands that are constructed with such soft material that they streach out and make it hard to hold thier weapons? 2-Why aren't there any polls for GI Joe Fan Favorites,Who decides what charactors get made into figures? -------------------- Embrace the Suck.

With the movie coming out, I couldn't be less than excited about G.I.Joe. Personally, I have been buying Marvel Universe. Will Hasbro still be supporting 25th style characters and vehicles during the film line and after?

Since the Best of the 80's DVD Battles pack has not shown up at retail in sufficient quantities, are there any plans to re-release it as part of the movie line, or after? Or failing that, any plans to re-release Alpine and the final piece of the MASS device, separately? If not single carded, then perhaps as part of a comic pack or battle pack?

I'd lose every shred of respect I have for her!"

1. Over the years we have gotten several large scaled Joe Items. The only large scale Cobrs set we have received is the Terror Drome. If you were given the budget to produce a new large scale Cobra item($100+), what would you give us?
2. We have received a tremendous amount of figures from the 1st 5 years of GI Joe. 86 is the only year we're still missing a sizeable amount of characters from. Any chance of us getting Lowlight, Dialtone, Sci-Fi, Zandar, Zarana or any others in the near future? Slicer X |

We understand that Re-paints are important to help keep the costs of sculpting down. How about some Slaughter's Marauders or Tiger Force Re-paints?
Roadblock, Recondo and Bazooka come to mind for Tiger force. Mutt, Barbecue, Spirit for Slaughter's Marauders. -------------------- The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.

Most of the male figures resemble their actor counterparts, but Baroness, Cover Girl, and Scarlett are not good representations of their actresses. Will we see better resemblances in future waves, or did Miller, Nicholas, and Kurkova decline from having their likenesses used for the toys?
