Hasbro has answered Joefans' pressing questions today. The five from JoeSightings are as follows:

1) Everyone has been very excited about the Battle Packs w/ DVD's...now that we've seen the first 5 of these, is there any chance that the Battle Pack "concept" will continue with DVD's of single episodes? It seems like a great way to work in some of the characters we hadn't seen yet (Recondo, Ripcord, Dr. Mindbender, etc...).

We will be doing the 5 this fall and have some other things planned for this spring. No plans for single episodes at this time.

2) It's nice seeing Leatherneck packaged as a driver to the AWE Striker, but a lot of folks were curious as to why he was in his desert "Special Missions: Brazil" colors. Are there plans to get us a Leatherneck in his more standard green camouflage attire?

We have heard a few requests for this. There are no plans, but we will pass the feedback to the design team. No plans right now.

3) I'd like to know more about how Habsro re-builds classic G.I. Joe vehicles. Nearly every one we have seen looks to be mostly old favorites with some slight updates or changes to accomodate new figures. Can you tell us how you select them, what process you go through to address changes and updates to the classic mold designs and if there are any classic vehicles you simply cannot consider and why?

The process to choose vehicles to update is based on what molds are available and what the design team thinks that can do to make it better. If something is not available, like the SkyHawk or Water Moccasin, we then make it from scratch using the original as inspiration. If it is available, like the VAMP, the team looks at what they can add to make it even better.

4) In our last Q & A session you mentioned 8 waves for this year. When can we expect details on Wave 8?

In the next couple months at GI Joe.com

5) The fans are aware that the movie line is going to pick up in "Summer '09". Can we get more specific information? Does that mean in time for the August resets, and can we expect 4-5 waves of single pack figures in early '09 leading up to it before the movie theme takes over?

We will do about half of 2009 with the classic line before switching to movie. We are still working out specific dates for 2009. You can expect about 3 waves.

Huge thanks as always to the folks behind the lines at Hasbro and G.I. Joe for taking the time to answer our questions!
