1) There have been some rumors in regards to the future of the 8" G.I. Joe line. Can you verify if that line has indeed been put on hold or "hiatus"? Any chances of seeing any 8" product in 2008?
Right now, all we can confirm the 8" line will continue through 2007. 2) Can we expect to see the single packs for sale on HTS? Yes. 3) There have been rumors that we would get one extra "bonus" wave in 2007. Can you verify if we will receive a fourth wave in '07, or will '08 wave 1 hit in time for the holidays? If everything goes according to plan, we will have a bonus wave right around the holidays. 4) Would you consider re-releasing the rest of the Marvel comic series on trade paperback, and what is your view on the Devils' Due series, is it doing what you would like it to do for the G.I. Joe brand as a whole? Like all GI Joe fans, we look forward to tearing through our Devil's Due GI Joe comics every month. As for the trade paperback, there are currently no plans to re-release. 5) Any chances of seeing some more 25th Anniversary style exclusives at Conventions in the future? Yes…but nothing annouced at this time. For now just enjoy Destro. -------------------- ![]() GeneralsJoes.com: New blog format and updated daily! Saw some very nice stuff in the Joecustoms.com Q & A!!
Q: Will all the 5-pack figures eventually be released as single figures? And will they be the same versions as in the 5-pack? A: Yes and Yes. And over at Cool Toy Review: Cool Toy Review: There has been a huge rumor going around about the Iron Grenadier "Blade" Destro in the works. Can this be officially confirmed by Hasbro? I think that it is just speculation right now. Hasbro: This rumor will be officially confirmed or denied at JoeCon when we show the Wave 1 2008 single figures and you can see for yourself what figures are coming. Wow, way to waste a question:
Cool Toy Review: Will vehicle drivers (such as the grey painted Cobra Officer for the Stinger-hint hint) be a part of the 25th anniversary line? Hasbro: Check out the Cobra Legions 5 pack and you will be very happy. It would have probably been a better question if they would have used Steeler, Clutch, or the HISS driver, because we've known about the Stinger Driver for at least a month and a half. Try to keep up guys, try to keep up. I was also a bit perplexed when Hasbro said they would reveal who the mail-in figure was at the 2008 convention. Is that right, or did they mean 2007? -------------------- "The power of collecting and disbursing money at pleasure is the most dangerous power that can be entrusted to man, particularly under our system of collecting revenue by a tariff, which reaches every man in the country..." They really should've clarified that question about the vehicle drivers better. As for the mailaway, I think that's just a type-o but I guess we'll see next month! -------------------- Airborne Leads The Way!

Hm...so the 5 pack guys will be released in single packs? Well, that makes me halt. I still haven't picked up the joe one yet; perhaps I should wait? I am currently not impressed with the quality of the 5 packs, but the single packs are MUCH better in terms of joint tightness and warped hands/weapons. I suppose I'll wait and see....but knowing me, I'll probably just end up buying the 5 pack anyhow.

My guess is that the 5-packs will go the way of the dodo fairly soon. I am going to guess that we won't even see them in 2008. I certainly could be wrong, but I bet they were part of the launch & mainly meant to serve as a shelf eye-catcher. After the line is well/better established, my guess is that we won't see 5-packs, but will basically see more single cards (perhaps a SW size variety wave, etc, or close to it) & perhaps some vehicles. This is why the 5pack-to-single-card thing doesn't surprise me. I think as they go they'll need to have a couple of repacks to support the budget & so what better way to add to a wave than to borrow a few 5-pack figures, ya know? It is probably a pretty smart move.. and even a good chunk of us who already have these figures will still buy 1 more to get a "moc" version for display.

Ugh, I hate having to chase down the questions and answers.
General's got a good site for finding them all, but I swear one big list would be much easier. Plus did EVERYONE have to ask if the 5 packs would be released as singles? I mean for real. -------------------- |

QUOTE Q: Will the Piper figure use parts from the original A Real American Hero line or the new 25th anniversary stuff? A: Rowdy Roddy Piper will be at the GI Joe Convention this year and will be inducted into either the GI Joe or Cobra team. The figure will be in the classic 80's style. Umm, no he's not! QUOTE Q: As swapping out arms and chests is a big part of customization, what is the best way to take apart the chest of a 25th figure. A: Take anniversary figures head and legs off, so only torso and arms remain. Use either corner of table or block of wood with 90 degree angle and place the torso side that has the parting line on corner. Take a rubber mallet, or small hammer, and hit the seam on the shoulder, cracking it open like a walnut. Sides should split allowing for custom arms to fit into joints, glue back together with super glue. Q: What was the inspiration for the Customs that we saw at SDCC? Is there any chance that these could ever see production? A: We wanted to do a shout out the the customizers in the community and show them how customizable the anniversary figures are. The inspiration came from the mind of one of our designers. We told him to choose anything he wanted that was not currently being planned. None of those figures will be out in 2008....but maybe further down the line. I'm sorry, but that's complete spin. So they think taking a mallet and breaking open a figure is just as easy as unscrewing a back screw? Swapping waists by cracking them off the torso is as customizable as the O-ring waists? Super glueing a torso back together works just as well as screwing a screw back in? I don't think so. -------------------- "The power of collecting and disbursing money at pleasure is the most dangerous power that can be entrusted to man, particularly under our system of collecting revenue by a tariff, which reaches every man in the country..."
