According to reports from Variety, IESB, and Latino Review, Dennis Quaid (The Day After Tomorrow, Flight of the Phoenix) and Arnold Vosloo have been cast in Paramount Pictures' live-action G.I. Joe movie. Quaid will play General Hawk, the veteran commander of the Joe team, while Vosloo, known for his role as Imhotep in The Mummy and The Mummy Returns, will play the shape-shifting mercenary Zartan.
Directed by Stephen Sommers (The Mummy, The Mummy Returns), G.I. Joe begins filming next month with a release date of August 7, 2009. Click here and here to discuss this news in our forums.
